His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience His Excellency General Ukris Boontanondha, Chief of Defence Forces, Royal Thai Armed Forces. The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, 25th June afternoon. Accompanying His Excellency were His Excellency Akrapong Chalermnon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam and senior officials from the Royal Thai Armed Forces. Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Thailand have established diplomatic relations since 01 January 1984. The close bilateral relations between both countries was reflected during the recent 35th ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan, Russian Federation where His Majesty received in audience His Excellency Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand.

His Majesty received in audience His Excellency General Ukris Boontanondha. In the defence and military field, the bilateral relations between both countries continue to be strengthened through various defence and military activities comprises courses, exchange of visits, meetings and exercises, as well as through multilateral platforms particularly under the ambit of the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting, ADMM.
